I made the invites out of cardstock and tried to mimick the feel of Eric Carles artwork with torn tissue paper. The outside is a strawberry with the caterpillar eating it's way through to tie the card shut. It's kind of difficult to tell, but, there are little strands of embroidery floss all along the caterpillars back.
When you open the card it's the butterfly.
The cake! I made a chocolate pudding bundt cake and then cut it into sections. The caterpillars head is a little cake, which was Ella's smash cake. There are little cake sprinkles all up his back. I also had some cupcakes as well.
