Kid's Clothes Week Challenge!

Starting next week, I am going to devote 1 hour a day to working on clothes for the kids. It might be accessories (I have some baby shoe patterns that I have been dying to try), but I am making that count!

What My Mom Says

One of the things my Mom and I did together throughout my childhood was window shop. Really, who doesn't do this with their Mom? When I was very young it was a drag. Then the preteen years hit and it was much more pleasant. Now, living 3,000 miles apart, that time together is something I miss.

Whenever one of us would spy something we would like, my Mom would inevitably say, "You can make that." There were many times that sentence would illicit an eyeroll, but mostly, it got us talking about how we could really make that.

Those 4 words, while at times were grating (Why don't YOU make it Mom!) ultimately gave me the confidence that, yes, I really can make that.

Thank you Mom.
